Dr. Kristina McKee, Ph.D. Music Teaching
Stories that stir the soul. Truth that lights the way.
Dr. Kristina McKee, Ph.D. Music Ed — affectionately known as “Fiddler on Wheels” — is a classically trained musician, composer, educator, and author based in Billings, Montana. A lifelong artist and passionate believer, Tina has dedicated her life to showing others that even in brokenness, God’s song still plays on.
A multi-instrumentalist who performs and teaches violin, viola, cello, bass, piano, and voice, Tina blends technical mastery with deep spiritual insight. She holds a doctorate in Music Education and has taught in classrooms, orchestras, and churches for over two decades, guiding students of all abilities — including those with special needs — to discover joy, discipline, and worship through music.
After a life-altering diagnosis and wheelchair transition, Tina chose to let her limitations become her ministry. “Fiddler on Wheels” was born from that story — a living testament to resilience, creativity, and faith that refuses to be silenced.
Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the conviction that music is more than sound — it’s worship. Every note, every song, and every story is an echo of the Creator’s beauty. Through her Music Appreciation & Biblical Worldview Courses, therapeutic music sessions, and faith-based workshops, Tina invites students to experience music as a divine language of healing and hope.
Beyond the classroom, Tina is the author of numerous biblical allegories and Bible studies — including The Tapestry and the Thread, Beauty from the Broken, The Garden of Ash and Light, and The Keeper of the Flame — and the host of the Whispers and Wonders podcast. Her upcoming worship album, God of the Impossible, continues her mission to proclaim God’s faithfulness through every season.
When she isn’t teaching or writing, Tina enjoys composing original worship music, crocheting, spending time with her husband Adam, and sharing life with her beloved service dog, Hope.
“Every life tells a story — and mine just happens to be written in song.”
